Carol Tempesta
Counsel
Carol Tempesta has 10 years of experience as a litigator representing Fortune 500 companies and their insurers in the defense of high-risk, high exposure, complex litigation involving mass torts and products liability cases as both local and national coordinating counsel. Her experience has also encompassed a wide range of subjects and areas in commercial and personal injury litigation in both federal and state courts. She has also represented real estate companies in mold litigation and has been involved in exposure cases relating to Benzene and Polychlorinated Biphenyls.
After obtaining her Master's Degree in Environmental and Occupational Health, she worked as an environmental safety officer and industrial hygienist in the aerospace industry, for both Hughes Aircraft and TRW Space and Communications. She was involved in employee training in noise, ionizing radiation and hazardous chemicals and has worked with major chemical companies in replacing their ozone depleting chemicals used in industry with environmentally friendly alternatives. She has lectured for the Palm Beach Safety Counsel regarding health and safety and also co-authored "Doctors without Borders: Expert Testimony in Mass Tort Actions and the Efficacy of Daubert" which was published in the DRI Toxic Torts and Environmental Newsletter in Winter 2006. Published opinions include Coregis Insurance Company v. Mosquito Control Special Taxing District, 838 So. 2d 1100 (Fla. 2003) and Pitman v. AC & S, 808 So. 2d 227 (Fla. 4th DCA 2002).
