Lawrence McGivney is the Managing Partner of the firm's New York City Office. His areas of practice include: entertainment law, labor relations, professional sports representation, general liability, and construction litigation. Mr. McGivney serves as legal counsel for recording artists, professional athletes, directors, models, coaches, and corporate entities in complex contract negotiations and civil trial litigations. Over the past 20 years, Mr. McGivney has successfully tried more than 70 cases and has argued cases before the Appellate Courts of New York and New Jersey. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. McGivney spent 10 years as an Assistant Mercer County Prosecutor.

While with Mercer County, Mr. McGivney was assigned to the Special Investigations Unit working directly with the U.S. Attorney's Office, FBI, and DEA in the area of weapons and narcotics trafficking. Mr. McGivney also served as the Director of both the Insurance Fraud Prosecution Unit and the Environmental Claims Unit. Mr. McGivney is admitted to practice in New York, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey, as well as the United States District Court of New Jersey. He has lectured in the areas of trial preparation, litigation techniques, and criminal practice.

Mr. McGivney graduated with honors from Fordham University School of Business Administration and received his J.D. from Fordham University School of Law in 1989.
