Kevin Hoffman

Mr. Hoffman has twenty-seven years of experience as a litigator and trial attorney, with a focus on complex and major case litigation involving high exposure claims.  Mr. Hoffman has been particularly active in the areas of products liability, toxic and mass torts, construction and worksite accidents, premises liability, and environmental tort claims.  In the area of toxic and mass torts, he has represented product manufacturers, distributors, and retailers in litigation involving asbestos, lead paint, mold, multiple chemical sensitivity, benzene, formaldehyde, pedicle screws, latex, and pelvic mesh.
In 2014, Mr. Hoffman was elected by his peers to New Jersey's Asbestos Advisory Committee (AAC). The AAC is a committee of plaintiffs' and defense counsel active in New Jersey asbestos litigation, elected by their peers to meet regularly with New Jersey's State Court judge overseeing New Jersey's asbestos docket; the AAC provides a conduit for direct discussion between the Court and the Asbestos Bar on issues affecting asbestos litigation in New Jersey.  In addition to the above, Mr. Hoffman has also been extensively involved in the representation of several large supermarket chains operating in the New England and Mid-Atlantic states.   He has aggressively defended these clients from personal injury suits in New Jersey, and has assisted these clients in identifying, prioritizing, and implementing loss-prevention and risk management goals and protocols.
Mr. Hoffman received his undergraduate degree from Furman University in 1983, and his J.D. in 1987 from the University of South Carolina School of Law. Mr. Hoffman is a member of the New Jersey State Bar Association (member, Product Liability and Toxic Tort Section; member, Environmental Law Section) and the Defense Research Institute.  Mr. Hoffman practices extensively in the State (trial and appellate levels) and Federal Courts of New Jersey and has participated as pro hac vice counsel in the State Courts of New York.
