Gary J. Intoccia
Partner
Director, General Liability
Mr. Intoccia is a partner and manages the firm's general liability department. He is an experienced trial attorney, having tried numerous cases in state courts and successfully argued before the Appellate Division. His practice is primarily concentrated in the areas of toxic torts, construction defect, insurance coverage, environmental, product liability, complex premises liability cases, and commercial litigation. He has defended claims in the area of life science, mold, diacetyl, spill act liability, and maritime law. In addition, Mr. Intoccia has defended corporate clients in sexual harassments suits, contract claims and intellectual property disputes. He has handled a great variety of coverage suits involving environmental claims, construction suits, and homeowner's claims.
Mr. Intoccia received his undergraduate degree from Marywood College in 1987 (B.S., Accounting) and his J.D. in 1991 from Seton Hall University School of Law. He had the distinction of serving as law clerk to the Honorable Peter Ciolino, Assignment Judge, Superior Court of New Jersey during the 1991-1992 term. For five years he served as in-house counsel to CNA Insurance Company. Mr. Intoccia is admitted to practice in New Jersey and Pennsylvania, as well as the United States District Court of New Jersey. He is a member of the New Jersey Defense Association and serves as a civil case mediator for the Superior Court of New Jersey, Morris County. Mr. Intoccia is a distinguished speaker and lecturer and has addressed both domestic and foreign insurance carriers on the topics of coverage, EIFS, construction defect, and mold related claims. He is available to speak on any legal topic within his practice area.
