Mr. Hartman has been involved, since his admission to the bar in 1975, in the handling of litigation related to premises and product liability, personal injury, asbestos and construction defects. He has also worked as legal counsel to a publicly-held, international manufacturing company, where he served successively as Chief Legal Officer; Corporate Secretary; Vice President of Administration; and, Chair of the company's Employee Stock Ownership Plan Committee. Mr. Hartman completed his undergraduate degree at the University of California Santa Barbara in 1970 (with honors) and earned his Juris Doctorate at the University of San Francisco in 1974. He is a current member of the State Bar Association of California, and formerly a member by examination of the New Jersey State Bar Association and the Illinois State Bar.
