Glenn Gavan
Partner
Director, General Practice
Glenn T. Gavan is a partner in the firm charged with managing the Sparta, New Jersey office. He is also responsible for the firm's Real Property and Land Use Planning and Estate Planning Divisions and the General Practice Department. Mr. Gavan currently represents a number of municipalities and real estate developers in his growing practice and continues to represent small businesses in formation and organization matters.
Mr. Gavan is experienced in estate planning, all forms of personal and commercial real estate transactions and general litigation. He has represented numerous banks in commercial lending and foreclosure matters and has also represented “big box” developers in all aspects of land use approvals and associated land contracts. Mr. Gavan has contributed to the writing of numerous texts on land use planning and development and has taught at Sussex Community College in Newton, New Jersey.
Mr. Gavan has volunteered his time serving on the District X Ethics Committee as an investigator for four years. He most recently served on the District X Fee Arbitration Panel for a four year term. He was chosen by the Supreme Court for both of these positions.
Mr. Gavan has served on the Board of Directors for the United Way of Sussex County, New Jersey, as President of the Kittatinny Midget Football League and as a board member for the Stillwater-Fredon Little League. He has also been active in coaching youth sports at Pope John High School serving on the boys’ basketball staff for ten years. Mr. Gavan proudly served his country in the United States Navy as both an enlisted man and a commissioned officer. He currently volunteers on the Sussex County Economic Development Partnership Board and as Vice Chairman of the Sussex County Community College Board of Trustees.
Mr. Gavan is a graduate, with honors, of New York Law School and completed his undergraduate studies at Villanova University earning a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration.
