Cook Presents at ACI Event

McGivney & Kluger, PC Partner and Director of our New York Asbestos Department Kerryann Cook spoke at the American Conference Institute’s 15th National Advanced Forum on “Asbestos Claims & Litigation.”  This October 7 & 8, 2013, seminar was held at the ONE UN New York Hotel in New York, NY.

ACI boasted that In the entire history of this conference, “we have never had a speaker faculty of this magnitude.”  The program was designed to provide the highest level of insight on:

• Bankruptcy filings, confirmations & estimations and the transparency between bankruptcy trusts and tort litigation;
• Single fiber, every fiber, low dose, lung cancer, chrysotile and beyond;
• Responding to the volume of non-malignant cases;
• Premise owners, contractors/suppliers, and the continued expansion of take home exposure cases;
• Litigating claims involving component part manufacturers; and
• Apportioning liability in jurisdictions with fault allocations.

Ms. Cook presented on Day 2 of the seminar and discussed “Litigating Claims Involving Component Part Manufacturers: Evolving Theories of Liability for Other Manufacturers’ Products.”  She discussed this topic with Donald R.
