Lynda K. Sheehan is a certified Legal Nurse who joined the firm in 2010 and works out of the Boston office.  Ms. Sheehan has been a registered nurse for more than 30 years and has an extensive background in critical care, acute care, rehabilitation, home health and nursing management. She has worked in major medical centers such a Yale-New Haven Hospital in Connecticut, the VA Medical Center in West Roxbury, Massachusetts and the University of Miami – Jackson Memorial in Florida.

Ms. Sheehan started as a legal nurse in 1991 and became nationally certified in 2001. She first worked for the law department of the local transit authority and then joined a Boston law firm in 1997.  There she worked with the attorneys in developing medical defenses for a variety of toxic tort claims including asbestos, latex and Agent Orange.  In addition, Ms. Sheehan has reviewed, advised and coordinated the medical defense in non-toxic tort claims.

Ms. Sheehan taught various segments of the Legal Nurse Certificate program at Northeastern University, has authored a number of special study reports for a toxic tort book including one on Fen-Phen, has handled the damages part of ADRs and has testified in criminal cases.  She is a member of the American Association of Legal Nurse Consultants and a professional affiliate member of the Boston Bar Association.
