Mr. Leff is partner in the law firm of McGivney & Kluger, P.C. based in the firm’s New York City office. Richard has over 15 years experience in complex product liability litigation. He oversees all of the New York City office’s general liability claims. His practice has focused on the defense of a variety of general liability, product liability, labor law, lead paint, mold, mass toxic exposures due to chemical spills/leaks, oil spills, asbestos actions as well as defending medical device actions. He is also on the Defense Liaison Team for the World Trade Center litigation defending against the alleged mass toxic exposure by the First Responders and clean-up workers. He is an experienced trial attorney, having tried cases in state courts and successfully argued before the Appellate Division. Mr. Leff is admitted to practice before the New York State and Federal Courts, Florida State and Federal Courts as well as in the District of Columbia.
Mr. Leff graduated from the University of Miami School of Law in 1995. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan in 1992. He is a member of the New York City Bar Association and American Bar Association. He is an Appointed Member of the New York City Bar Association’s Committee on State Courts. This is a three (3) year appointment wherein the Committee meets with the state bar judiciary and makes recommendations for future rules and regulations, implementation as well as recommendations for the improvement and enhancement of communications between the Bar and the Judiciary.
